What We Do

UTCM facilitates mobility enhancement through competitive funding of programs in Research, Education, and Technology Transfer.

The four research focus areas of the UTCM are:

We encourage innovative proposals for new education programs including new courses, certifications and degree programs. Technology transfer projects may include local, state, regional or national conferences, as well as other innovative methods to disseminate research results to the transportation community. Outreach programs or other workforce development projects are also encouraged.

How We Operate

UTCM was designated as one of approximately 60 University Transportation Centers (UTCs) in the nation. The University Transportation Centers Program (UTCP) is funded by USDOT and administered by RITA (Research and Innovative Technology Administration). UTCM is located in College Station, Texas within the Texas Transportation Institute, a part of the Texas A&M University System.
