RiP Categories
[ Word, 122K ] (revised 6/19/08)
If not already submitted with your Formal Proposal, complete this form to designate categories for inclusion in your project listing on the Transportation Research Board's Research in Progress (RiP) Database. Note: When opening the file, select "Enable Macros" so that the checkboxes will function.
Project Monitor
[ Word, 77K ] (revised 6/19/08)
If your project is primarily research, you will need to name a Project Monitor (if you did not already do so as part of your Formal Proposal.) The Project Monitor is a transportation professional from the public or private sector (outside the PI's home department) whose expertise and/or experience includes a familiarity of the technical aspects of the topic being researched. The Project Monitor cannot be a team member on the project or otherwise be involved with the project. The Monitor may otherwise be affiliated with TTI or your home department, and may be engaged on a separate UTCM project. The responsibilities of a Project Monitor are to:
- maintain contact with the PI throughout the life of the project
- evaluate the progress of the research activities
- provide guidance to the PI to ensure that the research will produce usable results
- review the reports emanating from the project
The Project Monitor is not required to submit a written review of your project but may as part of his or her oversight duties correspond in writing with the PI and/or the UTCM Director on project matters.
This form is used to designate your Project Monitor to the UTCM Office.
